“Fireflies” № 13 is the final step in the young performer’s musical development. Among the compositions, introduced in this book, are remarkable pieces composed by Zhanna Metallidi. Her imaginative, very melodious music, which always follows our ensemble, usually connects good feelings in children’s souls, as well as Korney Chukovsky poems.
Here you can also find pieces, written by Albert Markov — outstanding musician, violinist, violin teacher, who developed a special method of technical training. Our usual repertoire for the beginners includes several pieces from his book “The Little Violinist”. Children perform them with great pleasure, turning the music about animals into the forest fairy-tales.
For sure, repertoire of every “Fireflies” includes the music of XVIII–XIX centuries composers for the aesthetic development, as well as for the intonational vocabulary extension and acquaintance with classical forms.
In all “Fireflies” pieces are edited and arranged for children with different musical abilities. Just mixed children ensembles (from the first till the seventh grade) can create the necessary originative atmosphere. “We can’t create talents, but we can create the atmosphere for their development” (K. Stanislavski).
