Vitaliy Buyanovsky (1928–1993), the eminent Russian horn-player, professor of the St. Petersburg conservatoire conducted the classes of French-horn ensemble at the Brass Faculty, where numerous masters of the winds were bred by him.
Buyanovsky's compositions for brass are remarkable for brilliant aesthetic, phillosophical and pedagogical qualities. Concert soloists and ensembles, so as just students may adhere to them during their practice.
