Alexander Fyodorovich Goedicke (1877–1957) — the Russian composer, pianist, organist and teacher, doctor of arts, people's artist of Russia. It was in 1898, when Goedicke graduated from the Moscow Conservatoire, where he studied piano at G. A. Pabst and V. I. Safonov, composition at A. S. Arensky, N. M. Ladukhin and G. E. Konyus. 

Alexander Goedicke's manner originates from the Russian music classics. Among his compositions there are operas, cantatas, symphonies, overtures, concertos for piano and orchestra, for violin and orchestra, 12 marches for wind orchestra, chamber music for trio, quartet and quintet. Goedicke's concertos for trumpet and orchestra, so as the Concerto for French horn and orchestra (1929) enjoyed great popularity among both listeners and performers.
