The series “Cello around the World” worked out by Mikhail Utkin, would be most interesting for pupils of junior and senior level, so as their teachers.
Mikhail Utkin — cellist-soloist, teacher, disciple of great Mstislav Rostropovich, participant of the glorious “Moscow Trio”, having all over toured Russia and more than 50 foreign countries.
The brilliant idea of the folklore collection for beginning cellists struck Mikhail Utkin during such journeys. Having discussed it with his colleagues Utkin made up his mind to start this educational scientific collection.
The third issue is collected of arrangements of instrumental pieces by Glinka, Dargomyzhsky, Tchaikovsky, Alyabyev, Arensky, Borodin, Balakirev, Skryabin and other Russian classics arranged for cello and piano. Students are welcome to get in touch with yet unknown pieces by A. Goedicke, V. Suk and V. Rebikov. Recommended for middle forms of children music school.
