David Popper (1843–1913) is the prominent Czech cellist , one of the most outstanding musicians of his times. His biography is worth a volume by itseld, he performed in the best ensembles with the best performers of the XIX century, Europen tournees, teaching in Budapest Conservatoire…

He created many pieces for his beloved instrument, cello. Your attention is brought to the 3rd album of virtuoso pieces by D. Popper, the most often played on stage and in class: «Elves dance», «The Hunt» и «Concert Polonaise». As it is typical for Popper the pieces focus on brilliant virtuoso technique. There one would not find any drama, just dance and exuberance of real virtuosity.

The pieces are addressed to the students of music colleges and conservatoires.
