Alexander Yuryevich Britsyn (*1949) was born in Leningrad. Having graduated from the Leningrad (St.Petersburg) N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov Сonservatoire in 1977, he became the member of the Russia Composers’ Union in 1978.

Alexander Britsyn is the laureate of the Leningrad Komsomol Prize (1984) and the winner of the All-Russian A. P. Petrov Composers’ Competition (2011). The same year Alexander Britsyn became the Laureate of the “Choir Laboratory” — All-Russian composers’ competition.

The Baroque-suite for flute, violoncello and cembalo (piano) by Alexander Britsyn consists of five movements — I Allemande. II Courante. III Minuet. IV Sarabande. V Gigue, that may be performed as one whole, or as independent pieces. Besides, the pieces would be a success, being represented as blocks according to alternating tempos: quickly — slowly — quickly.

The Baroque-suite would be most precious both for home music making and for educational purposes starting with the senior forms of a music school.
