In the early nineties a violinist Gidon Kremer created an ensemble Kremerata Musica specially to play music by Astor Piazzolla. In 1995 he asked me to write an encore (something like a prepared impromptu) for one of their Piazzolla’ program. Gidon suggested Tired Sun as a base for arrangement. I should have to turn this song into the Tango Nuevo style that is to make a transcription as if the music seemed to be written by Piazzolla himself. A year later I performed the same operation on My Happiness, so these two small pieces formed a cycle you are currently looking at.
