Educational Repertoire for domra and guitar ensembles. Middle classes

The main objective of this methodical textbook is to help the teachers while selecting the programme and new repertoire, which the pedagogical ensemble practice lacks now. We tried to collect various compositions, giving the chance for the students to feel the style of different epochs.

As the music-making became one of the leading subjects in the schools’ carriculum it turns to be very important to play ensemble. The organization of ensemble is the process of agreement between two or three persons. Such casts are convenient both for teachers and pupils. This very collection introduces the compositions, requiring various combinations of domra (small and alt) and guitar. The duet of domra and guitar seems to be the best variant for just music making and performing, for the factural structure has all the necessary elements (from basso to solo part). Besides, these instruments are fine, sounding together.

The collection includes also the pieces for trio (small domra, alt domra and guitar; alt domra and two guitars etc.). Such combinations decorate the ensemble sounding and help the students to hear different instrumental timbres and harmonious hints. All the compositions, forming this collection, were performed at all kinds of festivals, competitions and concerts. They may be recommended for performing in music schools and colleges at the ensemble class.
