Alexey LARIN, Honoured Arts Worker of Russia, owner of а gold medal of the Composers’ Union of Moscow, prize-winner of several international composers’ competitions (Musica Mundi, Germany, 1997; Classical Heritage, Russia, 1999; Jihlava, Czechia, 2000; Klaпg der Welt, Germany, 2007; St. Romanos Melodos, Russia, 2012; and Isaak Dunayevsky Competition, Russia, 2018), he is Professor of the latter institution, renamed Russian Gnesins’ Academy of Music, and Honorary Visiting Professor of Korea University (Seoul).
The scope of А. Larin’s work is large. He is author of ballet, symphonic and vocal-symphonic scores, choral compositions, compositions for Russian folk orchestra and for wind band, chamber compositions, works for children, music for movies, etc.
Аlехеу Larin participates in the performances of his own music as pianist, organist, conductor and member of а chorus. His works appear in the concert programs of such renowned performers as V. Fedoseev, А. Vedemikov, V. Pon’kin, М. Rachlevsky, В. Ungrangsee, V. Minin, G. Dmitryak, V. Sudakov, R. Holl, V. Matorin, F. Lips, N. Babkina.
