Classical and Ecclesiastic Music. Vol. 2. For Children's (Women's) Choir

Any choir leader knows the difficulty of renewing the repertoire of the choir expanding it with works of different ages, styles and genres. The contemporary choir music is also of an interest for this reason (among other reasons). 

The present album comprises choir works of the widest temporal and geographic range. Contemporary church pieces from Scandinavia, Baltic republics, Italy, Poland and other countries of the modern world can be found side by side with works by Lasso and Palestrina. 

Many works were written for mixed choir and arranged for female/children choir.

The album is divided for 2 volumes. The first volume comprises choirs written on Latin texts from the Bible. Contemporary music written on Latin texts from the Bible is very popular and often preformed not in church but rather at concerts in secular world.

Such works feature modern music language, contemporary melodic and harmonic style, and they blend well with the old masterpieces.

The second volume comprises orthodox choir music in Church Slavonic language.

All pieces from this album can be performed in concerts, orthodox ones also during Orthodox church services.
