Sergei Yekimov is a composer, conductor, he is also a Dean of the Faculty of Composition and Conducting at the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conserva-tory. He is a professor at the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia and the St. Petersburg State Institute of Culture and Artistic Director of the Choir of the St. Petersburg Conservatory, the Concert Choir of the Institute of Culture, and the Women’s Choir of the St. Petersburg N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov College of Music.

He is a visualizer and artistic director of the International Competition of Young Choral Conductors and Conductors of Orchestras of Folk Instruments (St. Petersburg), International Competition of Choral Conductors named after Professor V. Uspensky (St. Petersburg), prize holder of international competitions and a member of the Russian Composers Union and Interregional Union of Concert Workers. He has been awarded the St. Petersburg Government Prize and the Metropolitan Varsonofy of St. Petersburg and Ladoga Prize in Spiritual Culture and Art. He is a member of the Cultural Council of the St. Petersburg Diocese and of the Board of Directors of the Compozitor • Saint Petersburg Publishing House.
