Savely Markovich Shalman (born 1945) — famous Russian violinist and teacher, graduate of the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov music college (1963) and of the Leningrad Conservatoire (1968), practiced as an orchestrant, started his pedagogical career in 1972. Shalman is the author of the violin school “I Will Be a Violinist”. His unique method of working with beginners is known all over the world. His pupils are being awarded the laureate titles at the International Competitions.
