Nizhnik A. Maktub. Partita No. 2 for bayan (accordion)

Artem Nizhnik (b. 1980) — accordionist, conductor and composer, Candidate of Art History, associate professor at the St. Petersburg State Conservatoire and teacher at the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg College of Music, prizewinner at international competitions.

The work is intended for both teaching and concert practice, and as noted above, it has won already love and recognition from performers and the public largely due to its democratic and clear language, bright imagery and virtuosity. It remains to be hoped that the proposed new edition will be equally in demand and will gain no less popularity allowing Partita No 2 to take its rightful place among other long-form compositions for bayan and accordion.
