Drożdżowski M. 12 Sketches for Guitar

Miroslaw Drozdowski (born 1964, Pabianize, Poland) — guitarist, composer, teacher, singer. from 1987 up to 1991 Drozdowski studied guitar with Jerzy Nalepka in the Lodzy Music Academy.

The composer’s repertoire embraces numerous pieces and transcriptions for guitar solo, so as music for chamber ensemble.

Being the participant of the group “Predestination” (“Przeznaczenie”) he created 40 songs to the verses by Vitold Stavsky. 

Drozdowski’s music is on roll at the international competitions and festivals. Guitarists, most young and mature ones, enjoy compositions striking and most useful music accountment. 

In 2007 Miroslaw Drozdowski was awarded the medal of People’s Education Commission for the tribute to the Musical education of Poland.

From the Author

I am most glad to attract the attention of young guitarists and their teachers to these “Twelve Sketches for Guitar”, composed by me in 2009–2010 especially for my students. It was interesting to know, what could make them enjoy guitar performing. The pieces are organized according to the increasing complexity in both technical and imaginative spheres.
Hopefully, these musical sketches will help young guitarists to become skillful performers, while the teachers will more often enrich educational repertoire with their contemporary composers’ pieces.
