The etudes featured in this collection are intended for young harpists. The material is arranged so that the nicety of every subsequent study increases.
This collection includes the studies written by the Italian and French composers which represent the eldest European harp schools. Along with that, not well known etudes by the Russian composers Nicolas de Witte, Albert Zabel, Mikhail Mchedelov and Vladislav Solovyov have been also introduced. These etudes allow to mature such kinds of technique as melodiousness of the first finger and stretching disregarded in the previous etudes.
