Nastasia Khroustcheva (born in 1987) — composer, pianist, member of the Union of Composers (since 2010), postgraduate student of St Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakoff Conservatorium of Music (class of S. Slonimskiy, prof. N. Degtyareva is Academic Advisor), President of the Youth Union of Composers since 2009 till 2012.

Nastasia Khroustcheva teaches in the Saint-Petersburg Conservatory, Russian Humanitarian Academy and in Saint-Petersburg State University of Cinema and Television (course of foreign music history), conducts a daily radio on academic music on the radio station “Neva FM” (since September 2012).

Nastasia Khroustcheva is a laureate of international competitions for juniors, a finalist of the competition held by the radio station “Orpheus”( 2009), a participant of the Russian and World festivals including “Zvukovye puti” (2006-2011), “Three centuries of classical romance” (2006, 2010), “From avant-garde till nowadays” (2008-2011) and others.

The compositions of N. Khroustcheva have been performed in Russia as well as abroad (in Sweden, Great Britain, Germany, Mexico, Poland). Her chamber scores are being published under “Periferia Sheet Music” publishing house (Barcelona). N. Khroustcheva took part in the St Petersburg Philharmonic Hall’s project “Open Door” (2010-2011), studied a course of electronic music in the Academy of Warszawa of Chopin (2008).

N. Khroustcheva is a scholar of Bach Week in Ansbach (Germany, august 2009) and Wagner Society (Bayreuth, 2011), she is a participant of Schubert Congress in Duisburg (Germany, 2012).

The premiиre of the Concerto for bass flute and orchestra “Zaches” was held at the Mikhailovsky theatre on 9 July 2012 (the orchestra of the Mikhailovsky theatre under the direction of Alexei Bogorad, soloist — Georgy Dolgov).
