The “Italian Capriccio” is one of the mostly widespread concert compositions for orchestra by Р. Tchaikovsky. It was created in 1880.
The premiere took place in Moscow, when N. Rubinstein conducted it in 1880. During the same very month Е. Napravnik performed this score in St Petersburg.
