Suite for the two Pianos Frescoes Of The Capella Degli Scrovegni was written by Igor Drukh in 1992. Today, this one of the most famous works of St. Petersburg residing composer was many times and ever successfully performed not only in Russia but also in Lithuania, Germany, Austria and The Netherlands. Five “musical illustrations” to the Christ’s Life were created under the impression of visiting the Capella del Arena in Padova (also known as Capella degli Scrovegni — after the owners’ name) painted by the great Florentine artist Giotto di Bondone (1267–1337).
