Joseph Haydn (1732–1809) — the Austrian composer, belonging to the glorious galaxy of the Viennese Classical School masters. More than thirty concertos for different instruments with orchestra form his heritage.
The clavier concerto G major by Haydn suggested in this very publication was edited by the distinguished pianist, organist and teacher, professor of the Moscow Conservatoire Leonid Roizman, disciple of A. Goldeveiser and a Goedicke. Roizman is known to have edited clavier compositions by J. S. Bach, Handel, sonatas by Haydn, Mozart, Weber and other giants of piano.
The Concerto G major is one of that “bid’s songs”, which Haydn is known by.
