Peresvetova Zh. Piano Ensemble School. Sonatinas, rondos and variations

Compozitor Publishing House presents a Piano duo album, addressed to junior and middle school pupils. This album is a part in the method series dedicated to piano ensemble performing. The principle of material arranging is gradual rise of required skill level (starting with the simplest pieces and completing with jazz music). The arranger and compiler oа the series is Jeanne Peresvetova, who more than 40 years worked with children as a teacher and as an accompanist. Among her pupils one can find many winners of International competitions. For many years Jeanne Peresvetova sustains a reputation of a ‘musical archeologist’ in music circles for her search and findings of yet unknown or thoroughly forgotten beautiful pieces of music that are for this reason absolutely unknown to listeners. 

The album bears the imprint of sunny personality of the arranger. All pieces one could find, be it Turk or Dusek, Haydn or Diabelli) are in major mode, bright and humorous. Orchestra — sounding tutties, brilliant scales and passages, Haydn-like surprises (abrupt change of register or dynamic) and other musical mischief that one can find at the pages of the album make studying and performing ofthis music material vivid and interesting.
