Banevich S. Petersburgian Pages. Pieces for piano

The “Compozitor Publishing House • Sankt Petersburg” represents the album of piano miniatures “Petersburgian Pages” by Sergei Banevich. This is the kind of a present given by the conposer to his native city during the Petersburg's tercentenary. However, these are the childdren to be the main addressées of Sergei Banevich. 

The album is the kind of a collection consisting of many-coloured variegated chapters, poetical sketches and descriptions, permeated with the nostalgic and tender personal author's intonation. This backward glance darted by the artist at the past through the haze of years. The composer seems to turn over both the doleful and lucid pages of Petersburg's history and his childhood, unseparably connected with this city.
