Moreno S. Comp. All the Family at the Piano: N. Gade, R. Schumann. Ensembles for Piano in 4 Hands

The collection of piano ensembles entering the series “All the Family at the Piano” includes original four-hands compositions by the composers of the 19th century, i. e. Niels Gade and Robert Schumann. 

These are the cycles of pieces rather diverse by their technique. Some are the true virtuoso ones, so peculiar for that time. Technical and functional equality of both piano parts make these ensembles be suitable for home music-making. This is an invitation to the music of Romanticism, endowed with unwrapped emotions, poetic spirit, gentleness, lyricism, cordiality and magic folklore images.

The collection of cycles makes for the understanding of stylistic peculiarities inherent in romantic music, technical skill of the romanticism. Besides, any student’s repertoire is getting enriched both in music school and junior courses of music colleges.
