Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750) was the greatest German composer of the 18th century who created unequalled examples of polyphonic music for clavier. We publish the compilation of selected inventions (6 two-voice and 6 three-voice) most popular in pedagogical practice, on the basis of studying which the principles of performance are formed and the polyphonic thinking of the student is fostered.
