Chopin F. Scherzo № 2 for piano

“He is one of the greatest piano composers, maybe even the greatest one himself”, — said Miliy Alexeyevich Balakirev (1836–1910) about Fryderyk Chopin. “Chopin is a worldwide genius. Surely there were composers having revealed torrents of intellect and inner might, but none of them nourished music with such cordiality as Chopin, having instilled Slavonic element to universal music treasury.” 

The head of the “New Russian School” seemed to have peeped to nowadays, when Chopin is recognized and loved all over the world. Actually every page of Chopin’s compositions sheds poetic air, fearless expressions of human life’s dramatic circumstances. Hence so many people today could repeat Balakirev’s words: Chopin doesn’t stop touching me deeply. His music is akin to my soul”.
