An orchestra version of the “Russian Dead-ends” by Nastasia Khrustcheva was firstly performed in June, 2022, by the chamber orchestra “Divertissement” conducted by Ilya Ioff. Being a finished work, “Russian Dead-ends” can also be considered as a part of potentially endless cycle of pieces. “Russian Dead-ends” is not as much an opus, but the way of music playing. It is an analogical nostalgia of what has not happened: a little trifle, a gift under the Christmas tree, a crumpled love note, dear Grandfather Frost, come to us! Come. See notes |
