Pyotr Ladyzhensky (*1946) — composer, pedagogue of theoretical disciplines, was born in Kamenets-Podolskiy (Ukraine). In 1972 he graduated from the Kiev conservatoire, where he studied composition at N. V. Dremlyuga. Now he is the member of the Russia Composers’ Union.
Among his creations there are five operas ( including “Cantata for Milliard of Voices”, “Guilty without Guilt”, “Poem of Prometheus”), three ballets (“Viy”, “That Song to Have Pierced the Night”, “Winnie-the-Pooh”), four mono operas, two symphonies, instrumental concertos, sonatas, ensembles, music for choir.
Vocal sphere takes special place in his creation. Pyotr Ladyzhensky is the author of numerous songs and romances, so as the compositions for educational purposes.
