Tatiana Alexandrovna Voronina — composer, pianist and teacher started her creative activity in the 1960ies, rather significant years for the culture of Russia. Hence this unique combination of nearly ambiguous character giving birth to the scale of her artistic devices. Lyrical and epic features grow from out the Russian folklore songs; while the hints of European avant-garde of the 20th century’s middle show through her music manner.

The list of her opuses includes cantatas and oratorios, orchestra opuses and chamber music: seven vocal cycles, arranged Russian and Northern folklore, and just pieces for voice — both with different instrumental ensembles (two string quartets, two sonatas for flute and violin, piano duets), piano sonata etc.

Tatiana Voronina is most interested in chamber genre. Her educational activity is connected with the St. Petersburg Conservatoire, where she lectures chamber ensemble and piano duet, practicing as the soloist and ensemble performer. In 1966 Voronina was the first in Leningrad to render P. Hindemith’s “Ludus tonalis”, while in 2001 she performed Beethoven’s five cello sonatas together with A. Massarsky.
