The right and appropriate repertoire is often the key to a successful performance. The original repertoire for oboe is very conservative today. The appearance of new pieces composed especially for this instrument is very rare. Therefore, performers have to turn to arrangements and transcriptions. In this teaching aid you will find works by composers of different epochs; pieces originally written for other instruments are presented here under the adaptation of S. V. Kucherenko who teaches the oboe class in Children’s School of Fine Arts № 9 and in other schools of music in St. Petersburg.
